JUST IN: Methodist Church Nigeria Youth Fellowship Elects New Exco, Ezeh Emerges President; Emmanuel Anyalewechi, National General Secretary

Methodist Church Nigeria, Youth Fellowship has successfully elected a new set of Leaders during her recently concluded National Presidents’ Summit of the fellowship and National Enlarged Executive Council (NEEC) held at Methodist Church Nigeria, D-Line Cathedral, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The executive is led by the Abia born journalist, Micheal Elite Ezeh who was unanimously elected as the new National President.

The elected executive members include Abiodun Ajani as National Vice President, Emmanuel Anyalewechi from Abuja Archdiocese of the Church was elected National General Secretary, Ememobong Martins as National Treasurer, Egbo Emmanuel as National Assistant General Secretary, amongst others.

Emmanuel Emmanuel clinched the position of National Public Relations Officer and Maxwell Precious was elected as the National Auditor of the fellowship.

Ezeh succeeded Amb. Oyonumoh Ukpong.

In his acceptance speech on behalf of his colleagues, Ezeh thanked the members of the fellowship for the confidence reposed in the newly elected members of the executive, acknowledging the enormous responsibility that comes with the position.

He further pledged to uphold the values of integrity, transparency, and public interest, stating that his mission is to “create a vibrant and inclusive MYF that empowers young people to grow spiritually, develop as leaders, and make a lasting impact on their communities.”

Ezeh further noted that his vision for the fellowship is built on six key pillars including, increased spiritual growth, empowering youth and investing in human capital development, community engagement, improved communication and feedback, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability and revenue generation.

“Working together, implementing these initiatives, and focusing on measurable goals, can
transform the National Youth Fellowship into a vibrant, impactful, and inclusive space for all.

“We can become a beacon of hope, a catalyst for positive change, and a proof of the transformative power of faith.

“I am persuaded that as a team, we can overcome all odds and build a fellowship whose fountain of
service will remain persuasive and value-laden. It is my utmost desire that at the end of this
administration, I will pass on to my successor a banner without stain,” he said.
