In the spirit of the Christmas and New Year festivities, members of Methodist Men’s Fellowship, Cathedral of Grace, Kubwa in Abuja at the weekend organized an end of the year get together for men in the church.
The occasion was used to appreciate members of the clergy in the Cathedral and widows for them to have a rosy Christmas.
Presentations were made to them one after the other.
There were also sharing of the dividends of the Fellowship’s Cooperative exercise for the year.
Majority of the participants went home with 50 kg bag of rice and groundnut oil among other foodstuff for the festivities.
Earlier, The Rt Revd Dr Fredrick A. G. Onoja, Bishop, Diocese of Kubwa admonished members of the Fellowship “to let the word of Christ in you dwell richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
Quoting from Colossians 3 vs 12 to 17, the Bishop urged them to always engage in the celebration of the season having a relationship with reason for the season which is Jesus Christ.
The President of the Men’s Fellowship, Oluwaseyi Ajayi, in his end of the year report acknowledged the support of members for the success of the activities executed during the outgoing year.
He then solicited the support of all for the actualization of the interior of the Cathedral auditorium, the project, the Fellowship planned to end the year with.
