Ondo Landlord’s Son Stabbed Tenant To Death, Arrested By Police

The Ondo State Police Command on Tuesday said it has arrested 41-year-old Odunayo Olomolatan, who allegedly hacked to death 22-year-old Joy Tale, who is a tenant in his father’s house.

Olomolatan allegedly stabbed the deceased to death during an argument that happened at the house located at Ode Irele, Irele Local Government Area of the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that the arrest was part of an investigation that has commenced into the incident.

He said, “The suspect, Odunayo Olomolatan, has been arrested and is currently in our custody at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ode-Irele.

“We have launched an intensive investigation into the incident to uncover the precise motive behind the attack.”

Commenting on the incident, the chairman of Irele Local Government, Mr Olajide Akinfe, urged residents to remain calm and avoid taking matters into their own hands.

He assured that measures had been put in place to ensure justice was served and the suspect would not evade justice.
