PDP National Vice Chairman, Dan Orbih, Gets Tinubu’s Appointment

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of the National Vice Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), South-south, Dan Orbih, as the Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Anambra State.

Orbih’s appointment was contained in the list of the newly reconstituted governing councils of tertiary education institutions in the country released by the Federal Government on Friday.

PlatinumPost reports that the Etsako-born Orbih and ally of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike had been at dagger-drawn with the leadership of the PDP in Edo State.

In April 2024, Orbih rejected his membership in the Edo PDP 2024 Governorship Campaign Council.

Orbih’s name was featured on the 200-membership Campaign Council list of the PDP for the September 21, 2024 gubernatorial election.

The council, which is championing the campaign of Asue Ighodalo – the PDP gubernatorial candidate, is headed by Governor Godwin Obaseki as Chairman, with his deputy, Marvellous Omobayo Godwins;
