Presidency Explains ‘Why Tinubu Left UK For France’

The Presidency has given clarification on why President Bola Tinubu left the United Kingdom for France.

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, addressed fresh criticisms trailing his principal’s trip to France.

Tinubu is currently on a two-week leave in the UK.

On Friday, it emerged that the president had left the UK for France.

This news led to mixed reactions on social media, with several people questioning Tinubu’s absence from Nigeria.

But in a post on X, Onanuga insisted that Tinubu is not restricted to the UK and can go anywhere he wants.

Onanuga wrote: “President Tinubu is on leave for two weeks. He is not restricted to the UK.

“It is his private time. He can go to anywhere he so desires.

“He is still observing his leave.”
