‎‎Promotion: IGP Decorated New AIG, Ronke Nurat Okunade

The Inspector General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has decorated the recently promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ronke Nurat Okunade.

‎AIG Ronke Nurat Okunade, hails from Ogbomosho in Ogbomosho North Local Government Area of Oyo State.

‎She holds a B.Sc in Psychology from the prestigious University of Ibadan.

‎She enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and upon completion of training, she was first posted to Ondo State Command where she began her police career and did her one year mandatory attachment.

‎During the course of her illustrious career, she has served in different positions such as:

‎-Commandant Provost Department, Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos

‎-2ic Kawo Division, Kaduna State Command

‎-DPO Apapa Division, Railway Command

‎-DPO Apata Division, Oyo State Command

‎-CSP Admin, Ondo State Command

‎-Acting Area Commander Ebute Meta, Railway Command

‎-AC Admin Lagos Command

‎-DC Admin FCID Annex Lagos

‎-DC Admin Cross River State Command amongst other numerous postings.

‎Upon her elevation to the rank of Commissioner of Police, she was the Commissioner of Police in charge of General Investigation FCID Annex, Lagos.

‎She has attended various courses within and outside Nigeria including;

‎-Citizenship and Leadership Training

‎-Police Mobile Force Combat Training

‎-Intermediate Command Course (ICC)

‎-Human Rights Course

‎-Strategic Leadership and Command Course (SLC)

‎-Comprehensive Criminology Management Course

‎-Community Policing Course, and is a Fellow of the National Institute for Security Studies.

‎Her last assignment as a CP was the Commissioner of Police in charge of Police Special Fraud Unit Lagos.
