SAD: FCT Community Chief Dies In Kidnappers’ Den While Community Busy Gathering Ransom

The abducted Chief of the Kikumi community in Bwari Area Council of the FCT, Surajo Ibrahim, has died in his abductors’ den.

An aide to the chief, Ishaku Madaki, who confirmed the death on telephone, said the kidnappers’ leader called last weekend to disclose the chief’s death to the family.

He said after breaking the news, the kidnappers’ leader insisted that a N6m ransom must be paid to free the remaining three victims.

Madaki disclosed that N300,000 out of the N6m had so far been realized through contributions.

The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, was yet to react to the development.

Recall that DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS reported that gunmen invaded the chief’s palace, killed three people: Abdullahi, Ismail, and Hamza, and abducted the chief and three other villagers.
