School For The Gifted, Abuja ‘Roll Out Drums’, Celebrates Graduation Of 2024 Set

School for the Gifted, Gwagwalada, Abuja was a beehive of activities at the weekend as the prestigious school held her 2023/2024 graduation ceremony.

Saturday August 17, 2024 was unique in the lives of 2024 graduates of the School for the Gifted, Gwagwalada, Abuja as the school rolled out drums to celebrate them. A total of 185 graduands were sent off in the elaborate event.

The representative of the FCT Secondary Education Board, stated in his address that Nigeria’s problem is really not corruption but lack of love and compassion for one another, stressing that someone that love his fellow human beings would not covet or steal what is meant for the betterment of all.

He admonished Nigerians to always live in love as the two major holy books expatiated.

The elated Principal of SFG, Mr Bello Adamu Audu, said the occasion was a day to celebrate “our achievements, perseverance and growth, especially for the heads fact that set 2024 students have been so blessed and favoured to have witnessed significant events in the history of this institution culminating into the grand renovation exercise that is just being concluded and the hosting of the long suspended graduation ceremony.”

The Principal lauded the set that have won laurels and brought the school countless victories during their stay there.

He challenged the graduands to be good ambassadors of the SFG anywhere they found themselves.

“Stay true to your values and always strive to make a positive impact on the world around you.

“As you go forth, be bold, be curious, and be compassionate. Embrace challenges, learn from failures, and hold onto your dreams. You are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of our world,” the principal stated.

Mr Audu also commended members of staff who have not relented in their bid to being the best out of the students, stressing that “they have modelled and fashioned these students into who they are today.”

The Principal concluded by appreciating the parents and PTA who have made sacrifices and lent their full support to the school.

He then prayed for the graduands that their star would continue to shine brightly.

Outstanding teachers of the year and non teaching staff were presented gifts while the best behaved student award went to Master Samuel Onogwu.

The best candidates in each subjects and the school prefects for the set including
Miss Gift Titilayo Babalola were presented Certificates of honour during the ceremony.
