Succour To The Family Of Late Abuja Journalist, Albert Akota As NCPC Assures On Lifeline Support

 
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, (NCPC), has assured that it will support the family of the late Abuja journalist, Albert Akota.

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, gave this assurance, when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Mpape, a suburb of Abuja, Thursday.

The Executive Secretary promised that the Commission would support Mrs. Holiness Akota, to go on pilgrimage to Israel in the next pilgrimage exercise as a fulfillment of the long life ambition of her late husband, which he was not able to actualize before his demise.

Bishop Adegbite further assured the family that the Commission would provide educational support for the three children of the late astute Journalist.

According to him, “God would never abandon the family, and would not leave them alone, in the time of grieve and loss”.

The Bishop also promised to enroll the children of the late journalist in his family foundation programme for financial support annually.

Responding, the widow of the deceased thanked the Executive Secretary for finding time to personally visit the family in their time of mourning and expressed her appreciation on the behalf of the family to the Bishop Adegbite led Commission for making the dream of her husband come true and for the educational and other forms of support promised.

She prayed for God’s guidance and blessings upon the commission.

It would be recalled that the late Albert Akota was among the Journalists who covered the first assumption of office of the 4th Substantive Executive secretary of NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite.

He has also covered the Commission for over five years and until his demise, he was a reporter with the People’s Daily Newspaper, Abuja.

Akota died on the 16th march, 2024 after a brief illness.
