Violent Protest: Military On Standby To Restore Law, Order, Says CDS

The military high command says its troops are on standby wherever it is called upon to restore law and order amidst nationwide protest that has turned violent in some parts of the country.

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, said this during a press briefing at the Defence Headquarters on Friday, August 2.

He said the armed forces would not fold its hands and watch the nation on fire.
