‎Woman Cries Out, Files For Divorce Says ‘My Husband Wants To Kill Me With Sex’

‎****My husband has sex with me severally daily & wakes me up middle of night for sex

‎Melocia Gwata, a resident of Harare, Zimbabwe, has filed a case at the Harare Civil Court seeking protection from her husband, George Kusotera, citing ongoing abuse and overwhelming sexual demands.

‎She told the court that her marriage had become intolerable because her husband constantly pressured her for intimacy and reacted violently whenever she refused.

‎In her testimony before Magistrate Judith Taruvinga, Melocia described how George would force her into sexual activity multiple times in a single night, sometimes up to eight times, without regard for her consent or physical condition.

‎She added that these demands were not limited to the daytime, as he would frequently wake her in the middle of the night, even after exhausting sessions earlier.

‎Melocia explained the toll this behavior has taken on her health, saying that the relentless pressure left her exhausted, in pain, and emotionally strained.

‎She also alleged that George resorted to physical violence whenever she could not meet his demands, often threatening to end the marriage if she refused him.

‎The situation, she said, worsened because some of the abuse occurred in front of their children.

‎Melocia recounted being assaulted while he shouted obscenities and told their children she did not deserve to be their mother, causing both her and the children emotional harm. These experiences compelled her to seek legal protection to ensure her safety and dignity.

‎In court, George acknowledged some of his actions, apologizing for causing discomfort and promising not to physically abuse his wife again.

‎He claimed his behaviour was motivated by affection rather than malice.

‎The court is now reviewing both testimonies to decide whether to grant Melocia the protection she seeks.
