‎2027: Only M@d Men Will Vote Tinubu Says Amaechi

‎The vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Rotimi Amaechi, has said only “mad men” would vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

‎Amaechi made the statement on Thursday at the Edo State ADC stakeholders’ town hall meeting in Benin City, the state capital.

‎He urged Edo residents not to support Tinubu’s re-election bid, insisting that voting for the president in 2027 would be the wrong decision.

‎Amaechi said, “If you’re going about ‘vote Tinubu, vote Tinubu,’ only a thief will vote for Tinubu. In fact, I read in one of these social media that if it is in 2027 that we will know how many mad men we have in Nigeria because it’s only a mad man that can vote for Tinubu.

‎“If Edo people vote for Tinubu, that means Edo people are mad. If you’re not, then Tinubu should not win here.”

‎Amaechi continue to criticize the economic conditions facing Nigerians and argued that the effects of government policies were being felt across households.

‎Recall that DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS earlier reported that Amaechi stirred after jokingly linking the death of his mother to President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies.

‎Amaechi made the remark during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, after the presenter asked him directly whether Tinubu’s policies were responsible for his mother’s death.

‎“Is it Tinubu’s policy that killed your mother?” the presenter asked.

‎Amaechi responded: “Of course, before Tinubu, my mother was healthy.”

‎He later made clear that the remark was a joke rather than a literal claim about the cause of his mother’s death.
