An Oyo State High Court, sitting at Ring Road on Monday granted bail to Olori Naomi Silekunola, Alhaji Oriyomi Hazmat, and Abdulahi Fasasi after over three weeks in detention over the stampede that claimed 35 children in the state.
Justice K. B Olawoyin, presiding over Court 8, gave the ruling following a bail application filed by the Counsels of the trio.
The Court fixed Monday for the ruling after Silekunola, Hazmat and Fasasi’s lawyer on January 7 argued the bail application.
The Judge gave five conditions for the bail to include: N10 million and two sureties who must submit landed documents within the jurisdiction of the court.
The other conditions are that the applicant must deposit their international passport with the court and they are barred from granting any form of interview during the pendency of the case.
The stampede occurred during a funfair organized to assist families particularly their children celebrate the 2024 Yuletide season better than previous years in the state.
