‎The Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Olufemi Soneye, has announced his decision to step aside from his role after 20 months of dedicated service.

‎In a farewell statement obtained by DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS, on Saturday, Soneye expressed his deepest gratitude to his colleagues for their unwavering support, professionalism, and commitment to shaping and amplifying the NNPC Ltd stories.

‎Soneye, according to the statement, had, during his tenure, played a pivotal role in building a vibrant and effective communications presence for the national energy company.

‎He had worked tirelessly to ensure that NNPC Ltd’s story was told in a robust, balanced, and constructive manner, contributing significantly to the company’s transformation.

‎He encouraged his colleagues to continue their excellent work in supporting the company’s noble mission and strategic role in Nigeria’s energy future.

‎He expressed his gratitude to NNPC Ltd for the opportunities granted and the trust reposed in him.

‎The statement read in part, “Dear Esteemed Colleagues, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to you all for the unwavering support, professionalism, and genuine commitment you’ve shown in helping to shape and amplify the NNPC Ltd story over the past 20 months.

‎“Your role in building a vibrant and effective communications presence for our national energy company has been nothing short of invaluable.
