‎Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player to score in his sixth World Cup after his brace against Uzbekistan in the 2026 World Cup.

‎Ronaldo, who made his first World Cup appearance in 2006, has scored in every World Cup since, becoming the first player to do so.

‎Portugal also secured their first win of the tournament, beating Uzbekistan 5-0 after a shaky start against DR Congo.

‎Qualification for the next round in this group is still tight and will come down to the last group game of the tournament.
