‎Arsenal began their Premier League title defence with a resounding 3-0 victory over Coventry City on Friday night.

‎The Gunners won their first title in 22 years last term.

‎And against the winners of the Championship, Mikel Arteta’s men showed their class at the Emirates.

‎Kai Havertz scored the first goal of this campaign, with a controlled finish into the bottom corner of the net.

‎Arsenal raced into a two-goal lead before the break, after Bukayo Saka latched on a defensive mix-up to roll the ball into the net.

‎Captain Martin Odegaard added a third early in the second half as Arsenal opened with a statement of intent.

‎Their next game will be away to Aston Villa next Monday.
