The Association of Methodist Conference Awardees, Diocese of Kubwa has Congratulated the Presbyter of Gwagwalada Circuit, Very Rev. Kufre Abasi on his election as the Bishop-elect of Okobo Diocese and Very Rev. Dr Emmanuel Udom on his election as Bishop-elect of Calabar North Diocese.
The duo currently serving in the Diocese of Kubwa in Abuja Archdiocese were elected Bishops during the just concluded 50th/15th Biennial Conference of the Church hosted by Ibadan Archdiocese in Methodist Cathedral of Light, Agodi.
The Association gave the commendation in a congratulatory message signed by her President, Sir Emmanuel S. Audu KJW and Sir Dr Christian Chukwuma Agomoh KJW, the Secretary of the Group.
The Conference Awardees in Kubwa Diocese also hailed the sterling leadership of the Prelate and head of MCN, His Eminence Dr Oliver Aba JP assisted by the Secretary of Conference, the Rt Revd Dr Babatunde Taiwo TFG, for finding the two Presbyters – Very Revd Kufre Abasi and Very Revd Dr Emmanuel Udom worthy of the elevation.
The press statement signed by the Association’s Public Relations Officer, Sir ‘Tunde Babalola KJW, JP also congratulated the Bishop of Kubwa Diocese, Rt Revd Dr F.A.G. Onoja DCF for producing two Bishops – elect at a go.
Kubwa Conference Awardees noted that their elections were testaments to their commitment to the things of the Kingdom through rigorous Evangelism, church planting, robust administrative excellence and improvement of the Church infrastructural development.
The Group also congratulate all the newly approved Conference Awardees from the Diocese passed during the Conference.
It then pray for more anointing for the Bishops-elect to succeed in their respective Dioceses.
