JUST IN: Kenneth Okonkwo Says Peter Obi Is ‘Inconsequential’ After Becoming Atiku’s Spokesperson

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kenneth Okonkwo, has dismissed the political relevance of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, saying he is no longer a major figure in the build-up to the 2027 presidential election.

Okonkwo made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, shortly after he was appointed as the spokesperson for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the ADC’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

During the interview, the former Nollywood actor was asked about Peter Obi and his current political standing. Rather than discuss Obi’s activities or possible role in the opposition, Okonkwo shifted attention to his new responsibility as Atiku’s spokesperson and insisted that his focus was now on promoting his principal’s presidential ambition.
