The Cathedral Circuit of Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Kubwa in Abuja Archdiocese on Sunday July 20 2025 rolled out drums to celebrate her 20th Anniversary, honouring Worthy Methodist faithfuls who were there from the begining and other supporters of God’s work in the Circuit.

‎The Managing Editor of DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS who was the pioneer Quarterly Secretary of the Circuit, Sir ‘Tunde Babalola KJW, JP as Worthy Ambassador of Methodism among numerous others.

‎The awards were in three categories – Defender of the Christian Faith, Worthy Ambassador of Methodism and Wesley Order of Merit.

‎In his sermon titled: “Celebrating God’s faithfulness”, with the text: Lamentation 3 vs 22- 25, the Bishop, Diocese of Kubwa, Rt. Rev. Dr. Frederick A. G. Onoja, noted that the assurance of God including the mercies of God, God’s steadfast love for children of God never cease, His mercy never come to an end, He renew his mercy every morning and His faithfulness is great.

‎He itemized the roles meant to be carried out if one desired the manifestation of God’s assurance upon his/her lives.

‎The believer needs to declare that God is our portion.

‎”To have hope in God.

‎”Patiently waiting on the Lord.

‎”Seek the Lord and Have Absolute Faith in God.”

‎The Bishop of Diocese of Ado in Benue State, Rt. Rev. Dr. David Ogwuche Job  topped the list of the Category A award of Defender of Christian Faith with a retired Bishop of Jos, Rt. Rev.  Dr.  Nkechi Nwosu, JP. Others are The Very Rev M.C.N. Okonkwo, The Very Adesola Kuyebi,The Very Rev Abel Amuta, The Very Revd Sola Ala JP, Late Sir. E. N. Bassey, KJW, Late Sir Barr E. E. Onuoha, KJW, Sir Barr. Friday Eshiet Ekpety, KJW, Sir Engr. Kayode Opooshun, KJW, Sir Stanley Okpeh, KJW, Elder David Chijoke Chinweikeh, Sir Uwem J. Useh KCW, Bro. Uche Onyeukwu, Sis Grace Igiri and Sir AVM John Beckley, KJW, PhD.

‎The Managing Editor of DECENCY GLOBAL NEWS, Sir ‘Tunde Babalola KJW, JP led the list of Awardees of Worthy Ambassador of Methodism with Dame Deaconess Angela Nkechi Nwachukwu and 10 others.

‎The Diocesan Lay President, Elder James Duru FCA; the Cathedral Steward, Elder Chief (Dr.) Austin Nwankwo, OOW and Elder Asuquo Uye, OOW with 22 others got the award category of Wesley Order of Merit.

‎The proceeds of the awards is to enlarge the coast of the Circuit by erecting a place of worship in Guida in the Abuja Municipal Area Council of the FCT.
