‎Elderstatesman Bamanga Tukur To Be Buried In Adamawa Sunday Sept. 13

‎Elder statesman Bamanga Tukur, who died on Saturday in Abuja, is to be buried in his home state, Adamawa, on Sunday, September 13.

‎The update is contained in a press statement issued by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, who attributed the funeral arrangements to Bamanga Tukur’s family.

‎Wonosikou said the burial arrangements announced by a son of the deceased, Awwal Tukur, showed that the body would be flown to Yola on Saturday evening.

‎He said the late elder statesman would be laid to rest on Sunday after funeral prayers at the Lamido Adamawa’s Palace, Yola, at 10:00am.

‎According to the update from the family, the former PDP national chairman passed away earlier on Saturday, three days before his 91st birthday.

‎“He is survived by two wives and 18 children, among them the Secretary to the Adamawa State Government, Awwal Tukur,” Wonosikou stated.
